Chicago screws are a threaded bolt used to attach two pieces of fabric together, or for reinforcing. For example, you might attach a leather strap to a bag using a Chicago screw rather than sewing over several thick layers. You might also use a Chicago screw to reinforce the corners of pockets or other stress points on a bag.
These Chicago screws have a 6mm shank, and are a silver nickel finish.
